Yea you can put HIDs in them. But you have to put 35w HIDs in the projector housing cause of the heat made between the power of the bulb and focus of the projector. And you need a universal wiring kit to make it work, Retro has all of it. You can put regular 55w in the high beams cause it doesnt...
Any parts store should have the pins and bushings. I used an air chisel to take the head of the pins off then pounded the pin out. Do one at a time and either have a second person with you or a jackstand to hold the door up cause it will sag down.
Yea i love them, the look awesome and are super bright especially with the projector housing. Some people like them and others dont, but from the compliments i get from people tells me i got the right ones.
Not sure one what kind of trans you can get for $2500, but you can get some good trans parts. Maybe a BTS, JW, or Racer X tc and vb to start with.
