    Good luck making 1000+ fuel only with stock heads. And fwiw, over 1000 has been made with a 265 hybrid and compounds about half your size. Bigger is def not better mane.

    Looks clean...but I'd be pissed if I only put down 700 with that setup. Kind of proves my theory that just because you put massive turbos and firehose injectors doesn't mean you're going to make shiz for power. Again...looks pretty clean though

    if for some reason you have to pull the crank adapter.....make sure its aligned properly for install. things can get a little shakey if you don't LOL

    Update: got the system ordered and custom box being made to fit underneat the left passenger chair. the sub is a Hertz HX250d pushed by a fosgate M750-1d. spent a little extra on the sub to make sure it takes the extra power and will still hit solid and clear. install is next week.

    Nope not yet. We did find one valve guide was completely trashed but the valve stem didn't have any scoring so it wasn't making contact. Still need to pull the rods and the last of the lifters. Not real high on Matt's priority list though haha.

    Makes sense but since its in an open air cockpit, wouldn't raw power trump precise quality? Needs some serious db's in a boat... That being said, I could run a fosgate p400x1 and push 400 rms. that's not max rms power for the sub though??

    Ok I think this is what I'm doing.. a dual voice coil sub with 2ohms each coil, wired in parallel to produce a 1 ohm resistance to pair up with an amp that pushes 500 watts rms at 1 ohm. Any issues with heat generation or anything running at max power and low resistance...

    All that crap is confusing...all I know is that I need max power to drive it hard enough for the open cockpit. How should I choose between dual voice coil, 2 ohm, 4 ohm,etc. one better than the other? I'm told the p3 is a quality sub and it'll take 500 watts rms...so that's what I want to...
