I wonder if it cooler there because it has more airflow from the fan?

My oil temp gauge reads straight out of the filterhead mand the water temp is from the thermostat housing.

Seems like the Scanguages are reading low compared to dedicated oil temp gauges, which is the most accurate? I would think the dedicated gauge in the filterhead would be the most accurate.

@lincolnlocker I don't think I would take any chances with any amount of MMO. You have a great running truck and I wouldn't chance ruining it.

My truck didn't like the 80E, 80 tow was quieter and ran just as strong. My mpgs stayed at 16 in any of the tunes I had.

I think the one Rosewood has is suposed to be the best one out, might be an upgrade from the one you broke and you'll save yourself some money. I would ask your buddy what he prefers.

Oil Change Flush aditives???

I wonder if you flushed it and then pulled the oil out of the HPOP res, do you think it would get most of the cleaner out? I think this may be the only reason to ever drain the HPOP res. For the record I do not drain my HPOP res when I change my oil.

My relays have been installed from the day it was new. I think my original plug has corroded wires, as it used to work great.

I thought this might be a good subject to have for the database. What should they run under normal driving, towing and how do you know when it's time for a rebuild of the oil cooler?
