    Trailer plug has no lights

    Just went and turned on my lights and flashers and the fuses 1,3 and 4 have power, they have to be activated by the light switch, turn signal and brake switch. I'm sure I just need to rewire a new plug.

    My factory 7 flat trailer plug isn't working, I do have trailer brakes but no lights at all. I checked my power distribution box fuses 1,3 and 4, thoses fuses have no power on either side of the fuse and I also did a visual check on them and they weren't blown.     You'll get oil vapor out of the fill tube thats normal, and using a quart or 2 in a couple thousand miles sounds abought right too. I would say your injectors may need a little attention.

    FWIW my oil temp sender is right above my oil filter and my coolant temp sender is in the thermostat housing.

    What should the difference be between oil temp and water temp? Oil temp is ~10* to 15* warmer than my water temp which is 180*, I pulled a camp trailer today at no more than 50mph and I was running ~205* oil temp and the water temp was rock steady at 180*. I just don't want any problems towing...

    Headlight adjustment

    When I did mine I pulled my truck up to the garage door and lowered one side then the other to match. I just adjusted them enough so the beams would hit the road and the driving lights fill the gap between the truck and headlights, Hope this helps.

    I have the Tekonsha P3, I love it. The P3 is smooth and easy to use, it also will help diagnose brake problems on your trailer. If you google search the P3 you'll be able to find a good deal on one.

    Take a stab at this one...

    Tom, my oil pressure at 180* is ~27psi and at normal driving rpm my oil pressure is ~52psi at 180*. Those pressures are with Valvoline Blue 15W40.

    want some new tunes

    I ran a DP tuner for 2 years, the tunes were smokey and my truck had nothing past 3/4 throttle. I made the switch to Beans and have been very pleased with them.
