    6.0 starts and dies

Nasty fuel filters means low fuel pressure, which means the injectors are likely to fail, if not an issue now, they will be in the future. Don't let the fuel filters get nasty!!! You are going to have to monitor ICP pressure, ICP volts, IPR % duty cycle. The SCT is a poor code reader and a...

    6.0 starts and dies

Just because the pump fills the fuel bowl doesn't mean that it can sufficiently get diesel to the injectors. IMO a fuel pressure gauge is a necessity! It could also be the FICM or even an ICP sensor. Also, a bad injector can leak combustion gas backwards into the fuel rail and prevent the...

guages, power windows, radio.. dying out briefly???

My 06 has been doing it once or twice a year for quite a few years. Turning on the headlights promptly restores everything. Just haven't seen the need for a rebuild on it yet.

+1 for it being the IPR valve. Does your IPR still have the heat shield. All insulation ok?

    No Pcm Communication

yes, a cluster issue can cause an interruption in the communication.

    No Pcm Communication

It sounds like a short in the instrument cluster. Need to troubleshoot it when it is happening though.

    Magnetic chips in ipr valve

Do you have oil pressure on your dash gauge when cranking? Try cranking w/ the oil filter cap off and the filter out. The filter bowl should fill in 8-10 seconds. Is your oil filter cap an OEM cap? The height of the OEM oil filter cap is about an inch above the housing when it is installed...

    6.0 Injector hold down tool

Some of the cheaper bits actually "twist" a little in the socket. Hard to get a true torque that way. Best to buy a quality one in this application! Another option (expensive though)...

    2006, crank, no start

When the IPR valve is stuck open due to trash, then you will hear an air leak. IMO, it IS an air leak. Again - "shooting to 85%" as you put it is SIMPLY due to the actual high pressure oil pressure not being able to reach the desired pressure. It can be due to a bad HPOP, failed STC fitting...

    2006, crank, no start

the % duty cycle is a commanded value. It does not represent a valve opening. It could have some trash in it.

Maybe I missed it, but have you pulled and tested the IPR valve?

    06 intermittent no start

So you thought 2,4, and 6 weren't getting power, but they are now? So whose injectors are in the truck? Aftermarket? The only times I have seen most of the injectors bad at one time is with aftermarket injectors.
