Soot in Degas bottle
What were the symptoms that prompted you to replace the HG? Not a common failure on the 6.7s. -
Theft risk?
Dunno about actually stealing the whole truck, but their easy to break into.. With the keyhole on the ds handle, all they have to do is pull out the handle which exposes the lock cylinder. Bust off the lock cylinder with vise grips and your in. Simplest fix is to install a passenger side handle.- J98

The cost of the repair dictates how far their willing to dig to see if the factory parameters have been exceeded, I know that GM will go as far as pulling the blackbox in some instances. Chances are if you run intact tunes, the first thing that'll likely fail (if anything) is your *** from the...- J98

The way I see it is whether you run intact or ******d tuning, both leave a trace on the ecu. It really comes down to the dealers discretion, so there is no right or wrong answer.- J98

2011+ axle swap question
If you did a custom tone ring and VSS mount you could do it, but that's more work then it's worth. A 2013+ front axle and a 08-10 rear axle and you'd be good. -
2016 6.7 powerstroke
Don't throw parts at it till you know what the cel is. Should have been the first thing you checked, most auto stores will do a basic check for free -
