Will missing EGR valve thro a code?
What is the least costly way to rid myself of those codes then? I'm not interested in an 800HP monster (stock transmission) just want a good running street/tow rig. Bill. -

Turbo separation
I am in the process of rehabbing a set of turbos to replace my screeching HP side. The replacement pair are still connected, so how do I separate them, and more importantly, how do I get them back together at the right distance? I see there are no bolts in the top holes between the two units... -

Will missing EGR valve thro a code?
If my EGR valve ends up missing one day, will I get a CEL without a tuner for said missing component? Would said missing item make the truck run poorly/not at all? I run an GearBox Z which has no provisions for EGR. Thanks, Bill. -

Turbo screech
Thanks for the input. I'll do an in depth inspection this weekend and see if there is any sign of soot. I wasn't sure if there was any actual metal-to-metal contact going on with the VGT closed. It seems to run ok tho, just slower to accelerate and noticable smoke at light throttle inputs. I... -

Hi all, Long story short, on the way home from work, my engine starts making this gawd aweful screech/whistle sound. After doing some research on this site, I disconnected the VGT actuartor on the HP turbo, and BINGO, no more screech. However, if I move the VGT lever manually to the closed...
