Clearing oil from cylinders after injector R&R
I always go two full revolutions by hand. Then snug the valve covers and bumb the starter, don't go steady crank like you are trying to start it. -

Check voltage while cranking. Check glow plug circuit. -

#18 fuse is blowing when I hit the brakes....no brake lights.
Probably one of the bolts holding in tthe fuse box was touching a wire in the brake circuit. Over time it wore through just a tiny bit. Hard to see. When you pulled the block you moved the wire and when reinstalled, it was no longer toughing the bolt. -

Yeah, using the oil as hydraulic fluid shears it a lot faster. -

The HPOP has more to do with lifespan of the oil than temperature does. -
I Need some help / Advice
Pull the starter and the flywheel cover and see if you can turn the flywheel by hand. These flywheels have been known to break. -

I forgot all about that diode. That will do it, probably the first time it has been removed since Ford put it in there. -

What is the battery voltage. Check with the key off, then with the key on then while cranking. -

Glad it was a cheap battery and not the expensive ones. -

Use you voltmeter on another vehicle and test your test instrument. -

I would replace them. Ifg I had any questions about them I would replace them. -
