    if it were me i would probably cut the hub off and then try to get the bearing off. If the bearing is loose that is bad, but if it welded to the spindle there is still hope that you can chip it off and then polish the spindle out and make the repair.     I honestly don't think that the gear box on the older trucks is big enough. Even with wider 33s and a low mile engine ect mine would not steer sitting still. I did upgrade my 06 to a 15 style gearbox and it is worlds better than before. I don't know if you can retro that far back with a leaf...
