Kileen, Tx./ Ft. Hood Help needed asap

This thing had me worried because I just replaced the #3 injector, and stand pipes/ dummy plugs on the odd side on Monday.

Jesus christ lol. Pickup foot broke off of the sending unit. 5 gallons of diesel and a few key on's got them going.

Disregard, sounds like they're down to 1/4 tank of fuel and sucking air. Have them getting fuel put in it now.

    6.7 reliability

Up pipes crack when they aren't replaced with a different style that has a provision removed on 6.4's. Head gaskets like stated, rocker arms, lifters, etc. I'd go with a 6.7 over a 6.4 in a heartbeat. I do however have a guy whose trucks I work on, and he has 2 6.4s that have really suprised me...

    Damn!

    Long crank and touch start

I'd say you have a high pressure oil leak, so probably injector o rings. Check the fuel filter to see if it is black. If no issue is found with injector o rings, injectors themselves may be bleeding off high pressure oil.

Hard cutoff on 2002 when jarred / jolted

Check to make sure the female pins on the cps connector aren't spread out too far either. I had pure hell trying to diagnose my 97. It would violently hiccup and buck going down the road sometimes, and other times would be fine. Finally found the femals pins spread out. Pushed them closer a bit...

    Stumped by no start

Rpm's iirc were 170-180 while cranking.

I've dug a $6000 hole and its getting deeper

Not sure if 6.7 turbo's are controlled by pcm or if they have their own controller, but I'd imagine they are pcm controlled. Have you checked ebp sensor readings?

    Stumped by no start

Using my genesis scanner, that reads live data, can clear codes, etc. Used it on literally hundreds of powerstrokes to diagnose in the last decade.

    Stumped by no start

I wish I worked on these trucks more often, and remembered more. I used to work on them daily but haven't in some years. Theoretically, it only takes 500 psi of icp to actuate the injectors (we're getting and maintaining over 1,000 psi while cranking) and if there was a major leak, wouldn't ipr...

    Stumped by no start

A little over 1,000 psi. Actual matches desired. Ipr duty cycle was around 30 or 35% iirc, which tells me there isn't a leak. Also tried with icp sensor unplugged.

    Stumped by no start

Going to try unplugging all 5 v ref sensors, only leaving basically the ficm and ipr plugged in and see what happens. We're halfway suspecting ficm harness has a short. 3 ficm plugs are fully seated, and Keith stated all the pins looked fine. Last weekend when checking things, the truck would...

Project don’t have a name yet

And I'll say that head porting paired with a cam, and headers is a great power recipe. Problem is porting is expensive, as are headers. It all plays a role in the big picture.

    2015 P24AO Code

Could just be a failed temp sensor. Really need to monitor temps and sensors to know.

    Obs dash question

Like I'm not the slightest but upset they took the damn $80 radio or whatever it costs, the fact they tore the dash up is what absolutely sucks.
