    SiriusXM Quality

Have had several vehicles with S/XM and they all sound terrible. It sounds like the frequency range has the top and bottom cut off, like it was geared for "talk radio" more than anything. I can play a song on S/XM and switch to the same song on FM or CD and suddenly the song has bass, some...

    SiriusXM Quality

If you care about sound quality, you will not be happy with Sirius/XM. Not sure why, but it sounds horrible, even compared to FM.

    Kelderman Stock Height Kit

I ran one of their "2-Bag Rear" kits (swing arm with airbags...leaf springs connected to swing arm) and LOVED it! This was in my 2004 6.0L Lowered Dually. When I sold the truck, the Kelderman kit was purchased by a friend of mine...he still loves it. Never used any of their other air stuff...

    6.0 Fuel Pressure drop

Without a quality RRK, the stock fuel pressure regulator could be the problem. The hose crimp test can answer that.

White smoke after fuel lab and regulated return.

Definitely nothing related to the fuel delivery system. Let us know if the RevX makes a difference.

    6.0 Fuel Pressure drop

Current FASS products for the 7.3L and 6.0L are all HIGH PRESSURE, they have discontinued their low pressure pumps for those trucks. The AD 100 and 150 are low pressure "helper" pumps. They give you air separation, water separation and filtration, with about 10-15psi of positive fuel pressure...

    6.0 Fuel Pressure drop

So the fact that the pressure situation didn't change much tells me that you have a supply volume issue, or injectors that are significantly larger than you think. Since I believe you previously said that you replaced the stock fuel pump, and you are supplying that stock pump with an...

    6.0 Fuel Pressure drop

I'm just trying to figure out where the problem is, without blaming any particular part of the system first. Easy to throw a larger pump at the problem, which may very well solve it by brute force, but 170s shouldn't need it. That said, any chance the injectors aren't really 170s???

    6.0 Fuel Pressure drop

If you crimp the line totally closed, the pressure should go up more than 1-2 psi. It should go up to "pump max" pressure...and I would expect 90psi+. Ideally you shouldn't need to crimp it 100% closed, just enough to raise the pressure some. If crimping the line 100% closed doesn't increase...

    6.0 Fuel Pressure drop

Follow the return hose after it leaves the block on the side of the filter bowl. There should be a section of factory hose in the return line that you can crimp with soft jaw pliers. Crimp it "mostly" closed and see if the pressure drop is the same under load. This MAY raise your idle fuel...

    6.0 Fuel Pressure drop

Kinda figured...I take it they can't tell you why you are having the problem? Do you have a set of "soft jaw" or "hose crimp" pliers, the type that won't damage a rubber hose?

    What regulated return?

    6.0 Fuel Pressure drop

Reading from the regulator is the RIGHT place to do it. What regulated return? Factory Secondary Filter Bowl still in place? Still have a filter in the secondary bowl (if yes to above)?

    2017 SuperDuty LED Clears!

Are the LEDs under them amber, or does this make them white? Pics of a set installed?

    Fuel lab pump questions

We recommend 60-65psi, or whatever your particular injector builder wants. Since the regulator doesn't care, and a quality pump doesn't care, go with your injector builders recommendation to make sure you keep your warranty on those expensive parts.

Anyone lower a '17 DRW yet?

Judging by the amount of suspension travel available in my F450, I don't think they tried to make them taller for any particular "visual" reason. I suspect that the frame changes probably drove the height change more than anything.

Anyone lower a '17 DRW yet?

Don't know about the F350, but as much as I want to lower my F450 it won't be happening. There is only about 2-3" of front suspension travel. Even if I could drop it up front with a spring change and shorter bump stop, I would bet it will bottom out a lot more often on that new stop... The...

Engin Oil Pans - who makes them

We DID include an extra thick pad on the pan that can be drilled and tapped for an aftermarket temp sensor. It is NOT drilled/tapped from us though.

Engin Oil Pans - who makes them

We don't offer the MH pan. I don't have a problem with allen heads and o-ring drains on pans you don't drain very often, but on one that you are going to service regularly, you are just asking for problems. The o-ring will need to be changed at least every few services or it will either stop...

Engin Oil Pans - who makes them

https://www.strictlydiesel.com/p-3643-driven-diesel-67l-oil-pan.aspx Ours is cast aluminum with fins. We didn't see the need for additional capacity, no point in making an oil change more expensive for a negligible difference in temp. Our design was more about getting rid of the plastic pans...
