Obs lift pump question
To get to the fitting at the back of the passenger side head possibly... ? I was able to get to mine by just removing the downpipe.- JohnT24

I have also read that XL-12 (Ford transfer case fluid) Has been discontinued and they now recommend Mercon LV But when you look at the spec sheet for mercon LV it says do not use in transfer cases. This whole thing is highly confusing.- JohnT24

Hmmmmm, So I'm reading up on this Mercon 5 OR Mercon V And apparently it says on the bottle do not use in transfer cases. A couple reviews on Amazon say that the correct fluid for transfer cases is now Motorcraft XL-12 Apparently the Mercon V formula has changed and while it is still good...- JohnT24

Cool. And thanks for the Baldwin filter cross reference numbers. [emoji3] Well, at least one of them. Question, I'm wondering why you guys put shut offs on each end.... I do not have any shut offs and I have never had any problems changing filters- JohnT24

Still putting this thing together but I need power steering fluid And transfer case fluid. Actually I should probably change the ZF5 transmission fluid also. Do these three items take the same ATF fluid? Don't really care about brands Just looking for the correct type To buy. Haven't...- JohnT24

Got my replacment. No charge / well, I do owe him a beer. One broken bolt came out easy. Smog pump is slightly different but everything lines up. ... progress.- JohnT24

Lift kit / driveshaft length.
Yes Stock it was 3" on the splines With the lift, I'm at 2-1/2" on the splines. Ima call it good. But yeah, the entire tube is like 5" fully splined- JohnT24

Power steering /ac Bracket busted....
Discovered this yesterday.... luckily my buddy has a spare (I think) It's still solid and together... but it's only a matter of time before it breaks off and throws the belt.. Is this a COMMON PROBLEM with these OBS's?- JohnT24
