I agree, will be interesting to see how it is a year from now. From all the Chatter on FB and other sites, seems like these are sold out everywhere and only a couple sites are allowing pre orders. Hope it is as good as they claim. Nice to have more than one option.- Tiha

New to me 03 f250 6.0
P0403 P0405 are EGR codes, if the EGR is gone you can ignore them for now. P0603 is like the old KAM, keep alive memory. Normal if the batteries were dead, or disconnected. P1000 is drive Monitor test not complete. So basically you are good to go. Need to drive it some and see if more...- Tiha

I think those are EGR codes, pretty common because it is most likely deleted already. Agree with the go back to stock and get it running right before you do custom tunning. It will not brick it unless the previous owner did something really weird. If the injectors are bigger than stock, they...- Tiha

Latest problem. Truck has been sitting, it has been very cold. Started it up last night. Kicked high idle on to let it warm up. Ambient temp was like 25 degrees. Gray haze, smoke was dense. Truck started missing. Eventually stopped missing, still had gray haze from exhaust but not as bad... -

Bizarre throttle issue
Could it be the torque convertor unlocking? If the rpms are jumping under a load, the engine doesn't have enough power to increase rpms that fast going down the road. So maybe the transmission is hitting a neutral position or torque convertor unlocking? I suppose you could tap the brake... -
What turbo to get with baby swamp injectors?
I have kc 300x with .84 housing with my 180/0 injectors and love the turbo. Kind of miss the whistle from the factory turbo, but it performs great. KC turbos website says if you normally run below 3000 rpms then run the .84 housing. If you run over then run the larger housing. Mine starts...- Tiha

2018 6.7 extended crank and slow to build rail pressure
I think if I understand it all correctly, you can start by taking the return line off at the secondary fuel filter on top of the engine. It comes from the injectors. Turn the key/electric pump. Agree, something broke internally. Has to come apart. Not sure if the transfercase could have been the root cause or not. -
Favorite injectors
Just to add on FF injectors. I thought they were good. I am not so sure now. I had done a set of DIY 180's years ago back when it was a thing. Was very happy with them. They performed well. Turbo pedestal oil leak after replacing O rings
I gave up. My old EBPV pedestal was already gutted and plugged. I used it, put it back on. Even with the old o-rings. Seems to be holding perfectly. The turbo also mounts higher, which helps getting the intake hose from the air filter on, before it was rubbing on the VC harness. At least...- Tiha

6.7 extremely long crank
I have what I consider a long crank and I came to the same conclusion that I need to do a return flow test. But everyone told me I was crazy and you can't do it on the 6.7. That ford has no spec for return flow. Was thinking about just like you are talking, but haven't gotten to it yet. -

Coolant in valley, leak.
It is a 14. The turbo fitting looks dry. Stays dry. I pressure tested after posting. No visible leaks or drips. Holds pressure for over an hour before I gave up. I did finally see some stains on the pass side cross over gasket. But stayed dry during pressure test. I'm losing a very small... -

After milling it around on a piece of glass and 400 grit wet or dry sand paper I tried the masking tape impression again. Only slightly better if at all. So I dug out my old ebpv pedestal and compared the two. The high pressure o-ring port is really close to the edge. Overall there is less...- Tiha
