If you used the A, the gear would not need to be changed. Just design the drive hub to mate to the hypermax or whoever gear. Whether you use a P or A or Sigma, the pump centerline are the same, hence the same size gear. You'll just need a different intermediate plate possibly lines, but there is...- gwunter

I'll take a swing at this and add my 0.01$. That is an A size pump not a P. I believe the biggest bosch elements available for it are 10mm.....or 9.5mm like yours is. I have an identical A pump sitting in my shop. More than likely these are off the 9.0l internatonal NA motor.....a slug. But if...- gwunter

Hello guys, I'm just a backyard machinist that gets an idea and likes to machine stuff. I got a few projects going on that require bigger pieces of stock. I deal mostly with aluminum. Is the steering stabilizer in good shape? I use the cummins vac/ps pump combo on my 4bt expedition. I resealed it when I got it, simple and cheap. Well here's the pics of the new assembled shaft if anybody cares. A lot of wire was used to fill those slots and the female splines got distorted from the high heat. Upon first time assembly it wouldn't mate up with the male part. I wound up having to grind a piece of high speed...- gwunter
