Towing Heavy with 6.0L/7.3L

Who has had 180/30 or 180/80 for towing
I have 175/80s with a BASB turbo. Towed in excess of 20K with no issues. The rest of the build up is in the sig. What is comes down is tuning. You can have the best injector but if the tuning is off, you're going to hate life. Billy T. [email protected]- gnxtc2

When I was at PRI, I was BSing with the engineers at Melling. We got onto the subject of the 7.3 oil pump. The guy I was speaking with was involved with the development of it and knew a lot about it. Forgot his name. I would try calling Melling. Here found the info... -

Not going to work as you want it to. The GPR has constant positive 12v power to it when you turn the key on. The PCM grounds the relay. You can add the oil pressure switch but you won't have any power to the pump until oil pressure is built. There is a NO/NC oil pressure but those fail. I...- gnxtc2

6.7 starter in a 7.3
Let's see what I remember from my motors class.....DC motors are rated in kW instead of HP which really means nothing here unless you know the rest of the specs (nameplate). The armature and field winding are bigger on the 6.7 starter, just going off of the video. If the wiring of field... -

That means I'll have to take the truck apart. I want to make sure I have the proper harmonic balancer (Fluidampr) adapter prior to me taking the truck apart. Anyone know the size and thread pitch for the crank bolt? Need to remove the balancer to replace the oil pump gasket, it's leaking. I know my balancer installer kit doesn't go that big for the crank. Billy T. [email protected] -

I just did this swap today....huge difference in cranking power. I originally put the SD 7.3 starter in my OBS back in the day. The SD starter started to have a slow death. I would crank fast then it'll slow down. Batteries and cables are fine. So before it totally dies, I put the 6.7... -
