Bout 600 total, 2x4 rectangle tube frame and diamond decking were the biggest costs the 1x3 tube was cheap for the headake rack and the 100 dollars for the raptor liner was another cost. Then it was just a bunch of 7018 rods!- jaybuller

I'm not taking about a little wisp of smoke. My stock 96 obs smoked very very minimal that did not bother me. What I'm talking about now is the smoke fills up my 2 car garage both doors open so thick you can't see across the room. And right now temps are mid 20s and it literally will knock you...- jaybuller

Yes!!!! You hit the nail on the head. You folks have got to stop second guessing your work. The truck ran fine before you installed "new" injectors. Then walla you swapped them out and no dice. Pull them all out and send them back. I hate that you wasted all this time monkeying around thinking...- jaybuller

White steam is fine.... Mine is blue smoke from way too much fuel not getting burnt due to cold combustion chamber. Stock tune with stock injectors don't smoke an ounce in this same truck setup the exact same way. I ran it last winter with stock injectors due to this problem.... Now I got the...- jaybuller

Well dang it Cody! Burst my idea bubble! Any chance you've been able to have a truck with bigger nozzles start clean with no smoke or raw fuel filling up the garage on cold mornings? I know out there in Wyoming it's just as cold as up here in Maine so you've got to have figured out the secret.- jaybuller

How do you guys feel about swapping out my DAC ecm for one of the more common auto ecm for tuning cold start smoke out in my zf6 truck? Is it doable? Will I have issues with anything running an auto ecm in my manual truck? I half think my cold start smoking is due to the DAC and screwed up...- jaybuller

P1316 code help !!
Just see if it levels out and runs better after a few attampts if it's not improving then pull the codes. If you get the high to low side open code when the engine is cold the. Pull the sticks and send them back for repair or readjustment of the armeture.- jaybuller

Keep firing it up if you haven't ran it for a good while to get he air out. The code is telling you the idm has a code or codes stored in it. Do a buzz test to get the idm codes to see what they are?- jaybuller

I did lowest cyl was 408 highest was 415psi. I've ruled out every single possible problem. The problem showed up at time of new injector install. Tried multiple tuners, tried sending the injectors that were supposedly throwing the idm codes when cold back to the shop under warrantee. All with no...- jaybuller

Not trying to be rude and new folks to power strokes can get a lot from this site but you may want to check out powerstroke nation as well for truly beginner type stuff... That place is kind of like a powerstroke lite type of site and this is more of a full blown powerstrokewizer.- jaybuller
