Possible cracked block?

Too much boost?
I forgot about that one. Sounds like a good setup, especially if you intercool it. You should be fine with you stock turbo/injectors. I'd be more concerned with EGT's than too much boost with your upgrades to the turbo. Rusty- rusty1161

The 38R won't mount up to an OBS without new plunums, wye, pedestal, I/C pipes, up pipes and downpipe, at the least. For my money, and what I did was go T4 SXE turbo and an Irate kit. This gives you more options for turbos and probably is pretty dang close price wise. And no chasing parts on...- rusty1161

Possible cracked block?
Before pulling the engine, can I ask did you drain the coolant and pull the vacuum pump and A/C compressor and mount and clean really good before applying the JB Weld? If not, if that was my truck I would drain the coolant, disassemble the front accessories for better access. And clean and prep...- rusty1161

CCV Filter Installed
I just changed my filter for the first time. I did check it about a year and 10,000 miles ago and it "looked" okay, as in not fully saturated. I now have about 20,000 miles on it. And old versus new. As an added bonus, it appears an oil leak that I was blaming on a rear main seal has...- rusty1161

97 7.3, coolant in oil after changed injector cups,
It usually takes 50-100 miles, sometimes more, to work all of the air out of the HPO system and for your truck to start like normal. Rusty- rusty1161

Died when driving no start no codes
And check your IPR pigtail. Both of my wires were missing the insulation, shorting out and gave me my no start. Rusty -

Horton E-Fan clutch
BTW, I just replaced my water pump and had to pull the Horton clutch for the first time. You're going to need a bigger wrench for the clutch. I happened to have a 2" fan clutch wrench on my tool chest, worked perfectly. And I forgot how heavy that SOB is with the steel fan Rusty- rusty1161

Cracked injector solenoid
It still works! I just want to post a follow up with some pics for future reference. These trucks are over 20 years old now and stuff breaks. I did need to bend the pins back to align with the connector. But a broken solenoid will keep you on the road until you can get a replacement. Rusty -

Is there a better injector o-ring fix
Exactly. I just tried starting it again, and it started in 2-3 seconds, instead of the 4-5 seconds it was taking. The engine/oil temp has cooled 50 degrees, though. Normally it's really quick to start, like 1-2 seconds. Rusty -

I put in a new IPR before I pulled the injectors. The debris from the o-rings is a thought, too. I will pull the IPR when I replace that pigtail in the morning. Rusty -

Well, the truck started back up and made good HPO #'s. But, I stopped after 20 miles of driving and still 10-15 seconds to start. I figured I'd put another 30 or 40 freeway miles on it. When I got off the freeway, I pulled over, shut it off and tried to restart it. No dice, never over 400 psi... -

Yep, every one. I've swapped a few set of 7.3 injectors. I don't remember seeing o-rings in this condition. Rusty -

This was the worst injector. All of the injectors are reinstalled. It sure is tough to seat them all of the way with the extra metal ring in there. Just need to finish replacing the leaking water pump that I found while I was in there. Then I can fire it up. Rusty -
