Traction Bars
Throwing this out there for everyone since it's been awhile. We are now doing out own traction bars in house. Lengths are either a 60", or 72" bar. These will come with the weld on mounts for the axle tubes, and weld on mounts for the frame. Standard color is black, but can do any color powder...- hawgdoctor

Build Ideas and Help
If you stay vgt I would go bigger than the stg 2, and if you stay with the 175's do 100% nozzles. That will get you there. Non vgt you can do a 63, or 64 and be in that neighborhood.- hawgdoctor

Machining your own rods..
Yes, but with the cracked cap design it also adds strength by the interlocking surface area of the peaks, and valleys. Allows no movement of the two pieces also. Very good for high load/ rpm apps. Even if you were to cryo/ heat treat the 400 I would rather see the 4340. More consistent grain...- hawgdoctor

Oil Pan Coatings
Have had good luch ceramic coating some of the ones that I've done for a couple plow trucks. Just like powder coating though it's all about the prep work.- hawgdoctor

Just a little update. Ran mine today at mpd's event. Overall very pleased except for the knuckle head running the dyno. It pulled down 478/843 and he wasn't even getting it lit until late in the rpm's. Still lots of them left, but j knew that going in as it was on the race tune from Gearhead...- hawgdoctor
