Wastegate Help
What size turbo are you running? On a waste gated Irate mounting kit? FWIW, an h2e can be modded to a 71mm and I've seen it produce 590 rwhp on fuel.- Marty

Technically no, but by the time you're done f'ing with everything to get the engine up high enough you might as well just pull the cab (partially or fully). In my experience with rusty trucks up here, up-pipe bolts always end up breaking off in the damn turbo.- Marty

No, when you order an A-1000 the box it comes in has instructions on running it in a bypass regulator system. Part of the reason you do a regulated return system on the pump is to keep cool fuel flowing through the pump. That's how the pump cools itself. If you run it in a deadhead style fuel...- Marty

I don't know how much the shims are by themselves, but I wasn't meaning they are $15.00 and $30.00... I was meaning you get two sets of shims... 0.015's and 0.030's. You can measure the springs to decide which to use or you can stack them and make it 0.045...- Marty

Swamps springs come with 15's and 30's for shims. That's why the price is different then just buying the springs themselves.- Marty

Maybe, we didn't pickup mph or et switching to the A-1000. Also, on the street romping around and what most people would do 99% of the time we never saw it budge. I really feel the time we saw it drop was because of low fuel and launching at the track. FWIW, just got off the phone with two...- Marty

It went from 60 - 45. We were also running out of fuel towards the end of the day so that figure might be skewed. Earlier in the day I didn't see any drop. The walbro kit on a 6.0L did 575 on fuel. The A-1000 kit is now on there and the fuel pressure hasn't dropped at all. Then again we haven't...- Marty

This is your standard A-1000 kit, with regulator mounted on the engine not under the truck. Here is a Walbro kit mounted upside down on a 2002 7.3 2wd truck. A1000 Kit on an OBS truck. Here it is installed on a 2003 6.0L- Marty
