A view of our Mechanical 7.3 from the exhaust at the dyno! Our day got cut short by some carnage at the damper (pics later) but overall we're pleased with the results so far. Sorry, I wasn't picking on you. It just gets on my nerves when they coined the phrase Rev Slam, and blame it on an issue with the truck, then come up with all kinds of solutions. I don't understand how this is acceptable. You mean to tell me that I have to drive with my hand on the gear selector everytime I get in the truck, so that while I'm cornering, I can turn tow/haul on and off??? That's absolutely ridiculous. 96 7.3 no start when hot
Delphi is the company that Remans for O'Reilly and Advance. We've seen a lot of them and we don't accept them as cores. They're worse than Pensacola Diesel. I would start by looking at ICP pressure, I would also say you either have a bad oring or poppet valve sticking open.- UNLIMITED_DIESEL

Just switched to a Gearhead tune and have problems
No sensors required on the X4 with Gearhead tunes. You said you loaded the "100hp Street" tune from gearhead, are you sure you didn't load the canned street file? The reason that I ask is that if you did, it will allow you to start the vehicle once, and then it will lock you out if you try to...- UNLIMITED_DIESEL

That is partially correct. The diesels in that era were mechanical, however they were rotary pumps and indirect injected.- UNLIMITED_DIESEL

^^^ what he said. I have switched quite a few from Spartan to a Gearhead. Only way we've found to fix the issue. Never had a single truck do this with Gearhead Tuning.- UNLIMITED_DIESEL
