    AKF250 Alaska Build - (650-700HP BUILD)

Pistons and Tuning No pistons for now. Everything looks great. From what I've read on 6.4 pistons its a crap shoot for why they are cracking any-who (whats causing it, tuning, fuel, towing, etc.) http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28904&highlight=hole+piston&page=8 I agree...

    AKF250 Alaska Build - (650-700HP BUILD)

Nothing Missed Pretty much yep. Top end, stock fuel, drop in air, manifolds, wastegate, EGR ******, fuel bowl ******, low pressure fuel system, and some suspension upgrades. Nothing over the top, just good parts to push the lower end for the next 100,000 miles. Then the pistons, rods...

TFL - Run What You Brung Haha dammit I knew I wouldn't be able to hide from that! So I actually did a Project Management class project for TFLcar to help them grow viewership while getting my degree. The first thing I said was "Where the f$#ks the trucks at? Your a Colorado based...

    Tow power x 2.0

No bottle I hate to cheap out on such a life saving piece of equipment but the cost and extra complication isn't worth it for me since I'm not doing any bottle or planned fuel upgrades whatsoever. Just lots of air and max stock fuel

    Tow power x 2.0

Does the Jr. High Powers need to be gated on stock injectors + stock pump with a 300 tune? Planning out a build for a fun 650 daily driver and I am considering the Jr. High Powers as a drop in replacement over the Tower Power Plus

    Progress report on my build

Bump Options If you have not done shocks yet like myself (just ranchos), is there a non-custom shock from King that could be used for a lowered 6.4 that would include the internal bump stops? Also, is the 2" bump stop stroke length all that is needed for these lowered 6.4's?

    lowered truck height

Sleeve Do you have a specific sleeve part number? The only sleeves I've been able to find are 90's that mount on the edge of the rail not through the middle.

    Progress report on my build

Frenched in Bump Stops Would love to see pictures of the bump stop install when you get a chance. I am looking at removing my stock bump stocks and going to hydros during this upcoming build

    lowered truck height

I am very tired of bouncing off the bump stops, shock upgrades just don't do it, and I believe this is the answer. Does anyone have pictures of a lowered 6.4 with frenched in hydro bump stops? Cant you just buy weld on frame rail mounts and get a longer bump stop?

    Rollpan Pictures

I welded metal plates on the bottom of my hide a hitch then riveted the bumper to the plates (check first few pages of this thread for a picture). 2 part epoxy on the sides. A good fit and a clean gap are hard to get on the sides. Get the sides lined up just right before drilling the holes at...

Best lowered ride possible? Air Bags?

I love the handling I get with my gasser shocks and rear blocks removed but hate the bumpy ride. Whats my best options? This is what I was thinking about: Firestone Ride Rite bags in the rear Firestone "Coil-Rite" Air Bag Helper Springs in the front Cut bump stops (may solve a lot...

    Rollpan Pictures

Street Scene Roll Pan with Hide a Hitch Here's some pics of my roll pan with a hide a hitch. Flip the license plate down and you can tow like normal. The only bad part about the urethane is that you have to use adhesives to attach it to the truck. I've failed multiple times and learned that...
