    Starting problem 7.3l

The glow plug relay should have nothing to do with starting a hot engine. Expect for your problem to come back.

    glow plug relay shutoff switch...

I really don't see any reason to disable them. Years ago when owners first started putting switches on the relay they would say that it would extend the life of the relay and plugs. I found that the factory relay was the weak link in the system and corrected it. I am going on over 17 years...

    glow plug relay shutoff switch...

To add a little, if you want to interrupt the wiring to the glow plugs themselves you will need a switch that is capable of handling up to 200 amps DC.

    glow plug relay shutoff switch...

The WTS light is just a idiot light that comes on and has nothing to do with the glow plugs. You could pull all the glow plug wiring and relay and throw them in the trash and the WTS light will still come on. It is activated by the PCM. A simple on/off switch wired in line with either...

    glow plug relay shutoff switch...

Why not just get a relay that will stand the use that our glow plugs draw from it? I have had a Stancor which is White/Rodgers now for over 17 years with zero problems with it. Others have had good luck with a relay from Western Snow plows. If you do a search you should come up with part...

    95 f350 7.3l powerstroke

Check out this wiring diagram. It will be best to look at it on a computer and not a phone depending on what you are using On the MFS are you talking about the turn signal arm or the actual light switch on the dash? http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/Wd/DownloadPdf?id=46696

Have you checked to see if you have power to them and checked the grounds?

What should I replaced/ upgrade while doing heads

The big things would be the glow plugs and high pressure oil rail plugs on the ends of the heads all 4 of them. Some would say the injector cups but I believe that if they are not giving you any problems to leave them alone.

    Fuel issues

Your glow plugs will stay on for up to 2 minutes after you turn the key on the first time so there is no need to keep cycling them. That just puts wear on the glow plug relay. How are you telling that you are loosing all of your fuel? Do you have a gauge on the FPR that is showing you the...

    EGT probe

Actually if you look at a drill bit you will see that they are designed to pull the material out of the hole down the shank of the bit. Have you ever drill a piece of metal and ended up with pieces of that metal under what you are drilling?

    Glow plug relay

The engine block will stay warm enough that the relay won't activate even in winter. It all depends on how long you leave it sitting.

    Glow plug relay

You need to test it with a meter and see if you have the correct voltages and a ground when it is needed Advanced Auto has a very bad reputation when it comes to glow plug relays. For quite a while they were selling starter relays for glow plug relays.

    Glow plug relay

What are you doing to determine if the relay is working or not? Are you watching your volt gauge or for the wait to start light?

    Oil filter adapter/oil cooler leak

I hate to say the word because of the mess that it usually makes if you have to redo it but if the gasket won't seal it then you can try some RTV sealant or even the gray RTV that they use on the 7.3's oil pans. You will just need to make sure that it is dry and that no oil is present on sither...

    97 F250 dead

Do you get the WTS light and any other warning lights when you first turn the key one? If the check engine light came on then there is a code stored that you will need to get read to see what direction you need to go.

    Burning oil/ oil in fuel

Valve guides would not account for the oil in the fuel. Burning oil yes.

    Burning oil/ oil in fuel

Injector O rings. One might of got cut when you replaced them. That is the only place where oil and fuel have a chance to mix at.

    Speed bleeder size ? 94-97

I bought some once and they didn't fit, they were way too small. So if you do purchase some make sure they are correct for our trucks.

    Gauges on the cheap?

Instead of going cheap and possibly having problems I would just go with some good ones just once. Boost gauges are cheap but the EGT one are up there.
