    There’s a big following for the 7.3 and nice ones bring the money. Anything below 200k in nice shape is in there. Like anything else, there’s always turds out there with proud sellers. If you’re looking a lot you’ll certainly see the difference.

    Good, ya got the converter figured out. We live in town near A1 so it was easy to deal when they made one. The later transmissions are the large bell pattern with a 156t plate if I recall. I think I’ve got the 50oz plate (just get an sfi appvd one) and balancer. Sounds like progress

    Got matting in the doors and floor. The area where it needs it the most is up behind the cowl tray— it is quieter (especially road noise), but still sounds like the 42r is sitting on the dash haha. Have bedliner on the VCs also. It will seem quieter for awhile , but it’s a 7.3 .. 😉

    I bet the .044 is your miss.. that is a gap for injected 5.0s. I fought this a lot , went back to 035 (suggested by an old ford racer with many dyno pulls) and it picked up power everywhere. The autolite 25 works fine with the ford heads and cheap.

    You’re still only spinning the motor 5500 or so. Unless the shaft is a wobbler, I’d just keep the distributor you have until the new heads and new crank damper are tested first. The fresh sealed heads, good plugs/wires, cam will run it fine unless the distributor is bad. I believe the...

    Thanks for reviving this. I've limped along with the factory mitsu unit but it's had enough. I'd have to find a core for a denso unit to make this happen. Does the 6.7 have that much more power than a new SD denso?
