    OBS picture thread:

Very nice looking truck you have there.

Very hard to put into 4wd, almost impossible.

If you are just going from 2wd to 4wd all you do is pull back on it. The only reason to push down and pull back is to go from 4 high to 4 low. Have you tried driving slowly and engaging it, not just rolling around?

    Using Oil

Do you have any play in your turbo?

    Using Oil

Ok. It has 163k on it btw. You seem very knowledgeable, so if you would do it, it is probably worth while to do it. Thank you so much for the input.

    Using Oil

But if the fuel in the bowl is clear, it wouldn't be going past the injector o rings correct? Or maybe it is getting burned vs. going back into the fuel rails? In your opinion would it be a wise choice to replace the injector o rings?

    Using Oil

The only possible culprits to me are either the turbo or the injectors. It would be very expensive to change both and it not be either one. If it was anything else the oil would find it's way to the ground, at least I imagine it would. I keep thinking it is getting burned somehow.

    Yup.

    Using Oil

I know the o rings in the pedestal aren't leaking all of the oil, the oil would drip on the ground, and that isn't the case. I know of the common leaks, but there is no oil in the coolant which would point to the oil cooler. The oil on the turbo could very well be from the ccv, but our other...

    Using Oil

We have a problem with our back up work truck. It wouldn't start a couple days ago, while trying to figure out why, I checked the oil, it was about 1 gal. low. I am not exactly sure when the oil was changed last, it can only have a few thousand miles on it though. It does leak a few drops, the...

    Trailer Tire Pressure

I bought a used trailer a couple weeks ago, it needed new tires. Well today I got new tires, had them installed by a guy here in town, who has a tire machine. I am just wondering what I should run the tires at. It is a Load Trail 10k lb. trailer, tires are 225/75-15, not sure on the load range...

    Looking for Tonneau advice

My friends dad used to own a business doing bed liners and truck accesories and he used Truxedo tonneau covers. I am not sure which model, but he has had the same one on two or three different trucks and my uncle has a Truxedo also and loves it. Not sure if it is the exact one, but they both...

    Turn signal not working

I know it doesn't ground there, had headlights out many times. The ground is part of the headlight harness. I will definately try to find it though, didn't even consider the ground.

    Turn signal not working

Well I spoke too soon. It worked after we put it in for a few hours, found out again this morning that it does not work. We used good connectors and heat shrinked them. I know this may be way out there, but he got a new radio, and it worked fine before that, is there any way that could affect...

tailgate on a 97 want pics

All tailgates from an F-series 87 to 96 will fit. A tailgate from a 97 f-150 will not fit, but one from an F-250 or F-350 will work.

tailgate on a 97 want pics

I was in the same boat as you and I bought an aftermarket tailgate because it was more affordable. Bad idea, it is so flimsy you can push on the center of it and make it bow, just letting you know if you plan on actually trying to use it. Might be better off trying to find a used one. It was...

    Turn signal not working

So my friend is having issues with his right turn signal bulb working on and off. Tonight we replaced the bulb and found the old bulb had rust on a couple of the contacts. We cleaned the socket out with contact cleaner and put some dielectric grease on the new bulb and worked when we tried it...

OBS Power breaks. vacuum leak/ Booster problem?

I would not buy a reman one, we had one go bad on our work truck, had a shop replace it and it didn't even last a year, just our experience, but just saying, it might be cheaper in the long run to buy OEM.
