Famous 6.7 tick after oil change
My 6.2 gasser did the exact same thing, IDK what or if they have anything in common but the issue was the same with my 2012 6.2.. It was loud as hell, sounded like the lifters on an old POS going south, it took 8K miles to start doing it, ridiculous.. -

Blinkers not working?!
You could have a problem with a loose connection on the back of the turn signal switch, start the truck up and put a turn signal on then slowly tilt the steering wheel all the way up and all the way down and watch for the turn signals to start to work or to hear the relay clicking, if they do... -

Did you remove the blinker/hazard relay? does the relay make noise when left or right blinker is on or does it just make noise when the hazards are on? -
Towing with a 6.0
I had one on my 02 7.3 and that pulled hard everyday, my brother has one on his (stock 05 6.0 with a Bullerproof EGR cooler) and he tows heavy four days a week and has had no problems, he is at 220K, something like that.. Superchips gets a bad rap, I had a conversation with a vendor here back...- Atsah

OP, you can take a small percentage of what you have and replace the oil cooler and delete the EGR cooler, that would be the first and most important thing to put money into.. The programmer is optional.. I agree with an earlier post concerning the Superchips Flashpaq working well on a stock truck..- Atsah

If it was me, I would delete the EGR cooler or install a Bulletproof cooler, I would also replace the oil cooler just to be sure it isn't going to be an issue and drive it.. SCT for a little added power if you want as well..- Atsah

On a stock truck, pretty much ya, it is the answer for keeping the soot buildup to a minimum and keeping the vanes from sticking.. If the truck is being used for work, (towing etc) the owner is probably laying into enough on a daily basis to keep everything clean and that's the reason why most... -

I drove mine like an old man and it didn't like it, my brother's 05 has a Bulletproof cooler and that's it, he drives it everyday and pulls a mini excavator four days a week with it and has had no problems at all.. He now has 260K on it and still going strong.. IMO doing the delete will be fine... -
Fluid film? Anyone use it?
First off, be careful power washing, you can blow the stuff right off, it does not completely dry and it will get dirty.. I use a hose only, I never touch up any of it.. Apply it and leave it until the next time your ready to spray the whole thing again.. -

It's pretty good stuff.. I also apply it myself to my snowplow and my tractor and I don't see any rust at all.. The main thing is, apply it while it's new.. Any new car dealer up here offers it as an option before you take delivery of a new vehicle.. -

I have had pretty good results with this stuff applied every other year by the local body shop for $180.00 a shot.. The only thing I don't like about it is it drips for a couple of weeks and smells like vomit.. -

18 is reasonable IMO for a vehicle the size of a Super Duty.. My 6.0's averaged a little over 18 and I was happy with that.. -
