Something Broke. Extreme Vibration Under Throttle

This does not sound at all like a transmission problem. When you overheated the trans I hope you idled it for a while before shutting the engine off. Shutting the engine off with an overheated trans can cook the transmission.

    4r100 Shifting Issues

The internals, except for the output shaft, are identical.

    4r100 Shifting Issues

Pull the trans out and rebuild or replace it. It's done. Sorry.

    Transmission issues again!

Find out why it won't launch. That is the biggest problem, and may be causing all of the other problems. The first step is to remove all tuning and see if it still does it.

    4r100 Shifting Issues

Will it shift if you manually shift it from 1 to 2 with the shift handle?

    Transmission issues again!

Many of your symptoms are those of low trans fluid.

    Stuck in Forward gears

The forward clutch is supposed to release when the trans is in neutral or park. Yours is welded together so that it can't release. So the trans is always in forward gear, even in park, reverse, and neutral. When you shut the engine off the torque converter isn't providing torque into the...

    Stuck in Forward gears

They are known for sticking when they get contaminated from material from a failing clutch. The thing you are missing is that the forward clutch is applied by the manual valve. It is not connected to any solenoid. So if you replace the solenoids the forward clutch will still be on all the time...

    Stuck in Forward gears

Order two sets of solenoids. If you put a new set of solenoids in this trans they will get contaminated and ruined in a very short time. You'll need to second set for when you rebuild the trans, which is what you need to do now. Your forward clutch has failed and welded itself together. New...

    4R100 rebuild/no forward gears

The RPMs lower because the PCM commands a lower idle RPM when in gear.

    4R100 rebuild/no forward gears

It can't be a solenoid. No solenoid can cause that. When in gear does the engine free rev, or is it working against the converter? Will it roll in N, or is something holding it from rolling?

    Torque Converter P0741 & P1744

It will be back. Intermittent electrical problems don't just go away on their own.

    Torque Converter P0741 & P1744

It's either a damaged wire to the torque converter clutch solenoid or a bad solenoid. The only way to know which one is to get a meter and do some diagnostics.

    4R refresh

The reason is that you don't want debris that's in the old converter causing a failure of the new trans. And yes, there IS debris in it. This is an excellent plan to cause you to rebuild the trans a second time. The second time you do it, plan to change the converter AND the coolers so that you...

    5r110 reverse issue

Yes it could. It might be a worn out seal in the clutch.

    5r110 reverse issue

    Yes it does. 5R110 Pressure Chart: Line Pressure - Idle P,N - 50 psi R - 100 psi D - 70 psi 3 - 80 psi 2 - 80 psi 1 - 80 psi After studying this, I think the leak is probably in the low/reverse clutch. That would cause low pressure in P,R, and N, with a slight loss in D. That's what I see...

Help! no crank after transmission swap

The TRS, which contains the neutral safety switch, is inside the transmission. It connects through the main trans plug. Without it the truck will not crank.

    5r110 reverse issue

There is more than a possibility, it's likely that it is leaking.

    Drive train play/slop

What does that mean? How did you go through everything? And what is everything except the ZF5 and the transfer case? How much backlash is there in the differential? In my experience, that is where almost all of the slop is found.

5R110 Reverse but no forward gears

The forward clutch needs to be holding for every forward gear. It's not applied in reverse. So if the forward clutch fails you will have park, reverse, and neutral. Nothing else will work. The forward clutch is applied hydraulically. It does not use a solenoid. There is NOTHING electrical that...
