When I first installed the 38R, egt's were great! First tow to the race track was awesome, lots of power and easy cruising dragging my trailer at 8-10 psi and 700ish egt at a steady 70 -75 mph, it would barely make it to 1200*. Left the truck idling while I loaded the trailer to come home...- fastersteve

Pulled the fuel bowl cap off, filter is still white with about 1500 miles on it. Can an injector have an internal leak? Seems like if it was an injector o ring oil would get back into the fuel bowl.- fastersteve

Sitting at a red light this afternoon, and said to myself "Wow, somebody is smoking alot!" Turns out it was me!! It's smoking enough to see at idle, pretty heavily at light throttle, and seems somewhat less under heavy throttle. It still runs fine, power feels the same, but now it's 2 qts...- fastersteve

Ventilated seats
Has anyone retrofitted some late model vented seats into an older body? I realize the late model ones are controlled by the hvac system, but it only has 2 speeds so it seems like it'd be easy enough to do once you know what the voltage reqs are. My seats need covers and 100* days are making me...- fastersteve

diy dual hpops
What's the Gen 3 discussed here? I had a Stealth dual set up but sold it because it would start leaking every 6 months. There's a lot of weight hanging off of 12" of 8mm thread. It even pulled the threads out of the cover once. I even made a brace to support the 2nd pump, to no avail. I wish...- fastersteve

That is correct, but you can change the front pumps shaft at home without special tools. I had one once.- fastersteve

F250/350 2wd Coil Springs
In 2WD: Diesel Excursions have softer springs F250/350 springs are slightly stiffer (same height, 1 less coil) F450/550 springs are the stiffest I replaced my X springs with 250/350 springs, no change to ride height but a much better ride-way less wallowing.- fastersteve

Oil Pan Repair
Don't use brake cleaner on parts you're going to weld. The combination of the Argon gas, arc of the welder and brake cleaner creates phosgene gas, which was used in chemical warfare in WW1. Bellowed up pipe install
I had just put the turbo on, and didn't want to pull it because I didn't have spare o-rings. Wasn't much of a struggle really, literally just some wiggling to get it into position. Hardest part was getting the damn pin to line up. That happens regardless.- fastersteve

I assembled the pass side and was able to wiggle it into place behind the turbo. Easy access to the driver side bolts.- fastersteve

Did you get the correct WW? There was someone else on here that got a miss-boxed unit and the rotation was backwards.- fastersteve
