    238/80 injector issue

That sounds like it is reading absolute pressure for some reason. Mine does not do that. With KOEO, mine shows 0 psi.

Need some advise on Smog in california.

When I ran the 6637 temporarily a few years ago, the smog guy gave me flack about it as well. He could have not passed me for it, but he did let me slide. I do not think that would be the case now. I currently use the S&B intake and am much happier with it anyway. It also comes with a CARB...

    238/80 injector issue

The duty cycle does not indicate a physical location of the valve/needle in the IPR. It is the commanded location. If you are having issues with the valve/needle in the IPR sticking, it will not matter what the duty cycle says to do, the needle is stuck. When I had a bad IPR, it was fairly...

    238/80 injector issue

Okay. Random usually means it is not tune related. Normally something mechanical or more commonly, electrical. I would suspect the IPR at this point.

    238/80 injector issue

If ICP is jumping around, I would suspect the IPR. However, it could also be the oil you are using. What brand and weight? Also, how many miles do you have on the oil? The reason I ask is because I have ran a couple different oils that make the truck run bad until the oil gets some mileage on it...

Best s300 option for towing with stock injectors

That is a great setup right there. Ever since we started carrying the 364.5 turbo, we have recommended that combo a lot. Pretty much everyone running it loves the way it performs.

    PCM question

You need a PCM with the same DPC #. You do not need to match the exact 4 digit code though. For example, there are many different PCM's in the DPC-202 family (MIF1, NAW4, TDE0, etc). So as long as you find a PCM with the same DPC #, it will interchange without issue.

Glad you got it figured out. Sometimes it is the simple things that everyone looks over.

    wont stay running after wreck

Good point. OP, have you attempted to scan for codes? Not sure how bad the rollover was, but the IDM is in the drivers side fender. It may be damaged as well.

    Gauges on the cheap?

Unfortunately, that will not help with the need to monitor EGT.

    Truck not down shifting

So the problem is that it will not downshift into 3rd? I second the question of you having a chip. Doesn't say so in your sig, but just curious. Hopefully Mark Kovalsky sees this thread. He was a Ford Trans engineer and can diagnose just about any 4r100 trans issue.

    Gauges on the cheap?

Pretty much true in all aspects of life. My vote is Autometer. Spend money on the pyro and buy the boost gauge when you can afford it. Having a gauge that is not accurate or does not work is more dangerous than not having a gauge at all. https://www.dp-tuner.com/gauges/autometer.html

    97 Long Crank

Need to get a scan tool on there. ICP is a good thing to watch. If you are not building 500psi of ICP when cranking, the injectors will not fire. With injector o-ring issues you will normally see 150-350psi, then once engine oil cools down a bit it can hit the 500psi needed to start.

    Source for PCMs?

:whs: Yes, usually when the PCM fries it is because of user error. Installing/removing the chip with the key in the ignition will kill it. If the chip moves on the PCM J3 port at all while the key is in the ignition, you are likely going to fry the chip and/or the PCM. As far as tuning for...

How much hp and torque with straight pipe, k&n filter, and a tuner

Pretty close here. I would say you could squeeze about 240-250HP to the rear wheels with good custom tunes on an OBS. Later model SD trucks push around 300HP to the wheels with good tunes, but they have larger injectors (among other things). Also, another vote for passing on the K&N setup. Go...
