    I took some more measurements and the fly cuts are .010 below the block and the rest of the piston is .040 above. If the valve reliefs are below the block, will this still be a problem?

    Thats rough ....I recomend taking a look at dynamic diesel kits, I've have very good luck with them, they grind some awsome cams as well.

    ok thanks for the info. i'm also running a colt stage 2 cam and the piston has .030 taken off so very similar. what is the purpose of the extra clearance?

    im finally taking my block in to be machined, and the machinist needs to know what the piston to wall clearance should be. Apparently the piston manufacturer should have included the specs but they didn't. the manufacturer is mahle. what is the best clearance for the 6.0 with .020 over pistons?

    charlie fish of kc turbos cracked the tune a few years back for the 6.0 to make vgt compounds work when more than 40 psi was hit. before this there was an issue with ebp at around 40 psi. 6.0 Tech will be able to tell you more but im pretty sure a couple of tuners are able to do it.

    i wouldn't have thought that a stage 3 and a s480 would make 1000hp, would it not be more like 850? could be wrong

    has anyone compounded a kc stage 3 turbo before? will this work or does the turbo not respond well to the extra flow? i have never seen it done yet so there's probably a reason.
