I have build traction bars for a lot of offroad vehicles in the last few years and on those we always do the two point mount on the axle tube as close to the diff housing as possible and then use a very short shackle at the "frame" end. and its usually welded to the t case skid plate. im...
just off the top of my head your going to need the brake sled w/3rd peddel, slave setup and trans, probably a new driveshaft, shifter, and other odd and ends. it probably will be cheaper to just find a used auto trans and swap it in.
well thanks yall. makes me fell a bit better about it. i have just never used one for on highway use before. all the military stuff i tow has one but thats always just on the flight line.
Looking at a 20ft equipment trailer to haul my rock crawler and all the ones i have found are pintle hitch. how bad are these trailer hitches when towing? never used one.
I would just get a normal 6" lift and call it a day. my truck has roughly 10" of lift and i have 37" tires and could fit like 40" tires no problem. honestly you could get away with a leveling kit and the right offset wheel and be fine.
well um first off we would need to know what you plan to do with the truck like dd or off road or what and then base it from their. tons of different ways to get lift done. some good and some not so good...

Well after talking to my shop that did my injectors I think I'm going to forgo up pipes and a turbo for a while. It's just not a good idea right now. Instead I'm going to have him do his full bullet proof. New fire ringed heads, gaskets and studs. Engine tear down and bottom end checked. Deck...
Ohh yea and what school would that be? I've been through cummins, cat and detroit diesel. Been through a few troubleshooting classes specific lyrics on 6.0l and one for IH in general. I'm glad you know everything. You must be some type of God when it comes to diesels.
Ok man I'm not dealing with a Internet argument in my thread. I've been around diesels my entire life. I work on them all day everyday. I simply started the thread to get opinions on a turbo setup. I do not really care if you think I should do head studs. I'm not. Get over it. And honestly I...
