Got it thanks. Measured my pitman arm right about 6”. So there’s a significant difference in “throw” or movement between the 2 and I think that’s what I need to get full articulation of my steering and be able to use this axle to it’s full potential.

i have a question for any owner of an f450, F550, or F350 with the "Fatboy" axle. more of a favor I guess.. would anyone be able to measure the pitman arm and tell me the length. I have been told the gear box is the same on the F350 and the F350,F450 with the widetrack front end is the sale...

replaced the solenoid with a factory solenoid and it was a night and day difference. truck shifts like it should.. the solenoid that was pulled out was an EPC solenoid with the locating tabs ground off so it fit in the direct solenoid slot.. ive heard that's what you get when you get an...

We’re you having what I’m describing as almost a hit type of shift.. there’s nothing smooth about it. Sound about right?

i have a newly built ~7000 miles on it.. billet 5r110 behind my cummins. put the upgraded direct and pressure solenoids in the trans.. every gear shifts GREAT. like perfect except the 3-5 shift.. it feels like im getting rear ended.. it hits so hard when towing it makes the goose neck hitch move...

And just to clarify I have coils and radius arms with a leveling kit. The buckets and brackets never got shipped with my new axle. So those are not available.

The drag link that’s on the truck came with the axle. It could’ve been swapped I guess but I picked it up from a yard and it was still assembled. I am more concerned with how much thread is allowable inside the adjustment collars to still be safe

does anyone know how much room you have for adjustment on a drag link setup? I put a 2008 f350 fat boy axle under my 2006 f350 and my steering wheel is 180* off.. I know there's room to move things, but how much is to much? how much thread do I need to leave in the collar to be safe? I thought...
