Traded my Duramax for a super clean 04 6.0 the other day:

I epoxied the dash mount in my truck. Never could get the velcro/double sided tape stuff to stay put. Works like a charm now.

Keep in mind those numbers seem high due to atmospheric pressure not being accounted for. 14.7 psi at sea level IIRC. Take 14.7 away from that and your numbers are more normal sounding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is the ground I'm talking about. It's directly in front of the battery box on the drivers side. That bolt was loose and when I tightened it up my speedo issues went away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Check behind the drivers side headlight. There's a ground bolted to the core support that likes to work its way loose occasionally. Gave me fits when the speedo was acting up on my 03.

I don't think the tach moves when cranking on any 02 (or 03 for that matter). Has something to do with the instrument cluster ford changed to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Behind the driver side headlight there is a ground bolted to the core support that may have come loose. Caused my 03 to do all kinds of funky stuff with the speedo. Don't know if its the same on a 99 but its worth a shot?

I would still pull the spyder and check the plenums. If they're still stock I wouldn't be surprised to find pieces of rag in there. Just a thought.

Carolina444 I did put 1" lowering shackles in, but in the first pic there was also about 700lbs or so in the bed. Have thought about getting some lowering hangers, just have not bit the bullet yet. 1BD9D7 Thanks, I originally wanted a PTM but after seeing a few trucks with the factory grille...
