Got my truck back from the detailer this afternoon, later in the evening I noticed a half dollar size spot of chrome gone. Question is, is it better to buy a new ptm or strip the surround I have(truck has chrome package) anyone have a white truck with the painted surround and kept the stock middle?

Needed a new air filter a couple of weeks ago, and didnt want to waste money on a OEM so I went ahead and bought the new S&B. truck is all stock for now except for this and it has thrown P2002 twice. Both times after a regen. I know its the intake saying the truck is running to clean...
