So here she is all done. Put almost 300miles on it over the 4th of july weekend, took it for a trip down to the beach and a few other cruises as well as driving it to work. I'm SUPER happy with it, so well behaved on the highway, backroads etc. Thing drives like a 2015. Stops like a dream too...

My 96 CCSB - Superduty Coil swap and other mods

Mine were sticking through about 1/2-5/8" grabbed by 6 or 7 threads. However, I had a bucket of stock ford bolts that from when I completely disassembled the donor, so maybe the bolts I ended up using weren't the power steering box bolts after all, I don't remember...

The stock '05 bolts, no idea what size they were. They were marginally short but they worked.

Had to move out of my house over the weekend due to the sale of our home, and successfully drove the truck across town to my parents. I will hopefully get the bed on and power steering and exhaust completed this weekend and it be 100%. Then I just need to find someone to properly align it. i'll...

Drove it 2 nights ago and did 5 miles. Only issue is a pissing power steering line. I used the original 1996 Hard line for the return and kind of tweaked it in to fit on the 2005 steering box, its leaking like crazy now. I kept the '05 return line and the '05 powersteering cooler off the donor...

Ebrake Yeah, my ebrake solution was not the most elegant, but it works. Actually works. Took it for a 5 mile test drive last night!

More done this weekend. GETTING SO CLOSE!!! Rear is installed and sitting on its own weight, Initially truck had about a 3" rake with the, probably mostly due to the Sky shackle flip in the rear. I removed the factory 2" block and it now seems to sit with about a 1" rake which is about perfect...

I'm wondering if you will have to notch the trac bar bracket more when you put in the new box. That would explain my issues...

Were you using the superduty steering box? I'm wondering if that extra few degrees of turn were screwing me? Did you shim the crossmember bolts? I couldn't get mine to sit nice like that for the life of me. If I caught the front bolt near the center of the frame, it would tip the flange that...

Not running hydroboost. Going to stick with the stock master cyl/brake setup and see if it fits my needs. If not, I'll worry about it then. Ran into some issues when trying to mate up the front driveshaft. Apparently the driveshaft I was running was a 1330 u joint and the stock D60 (for a OBS...

I need the bottom ubolt plate for a 2011-2016 superduty because I'm going to have the nuts down on the u-bolt like a newer superduty since I'm running the 2011+ springs. Just ordered through my local ford dealer for $36 each. Thought that was reasonable. In case anyone needs it: Part#...

Made more progress last night. Finished bolting up the forward rear spring mounts. Moved them 8" forward to accommodate the 2015 rear springs and drilled and bolted them up. Was thinking I would need to drop the front tank but there was no need. Rear springs in place with Carli overloads...

Got ALOT done this weekend. After alot of Hacking and wacking; this is what I ended up with for my trac bar mount, Also incorporates a Sway bar mount. The sway bar was an utter Pain, I had to make some funky little brackets to mount that up. Lots of screwing with it to get everything to work...
