TRAC BAR BALL JOINT REMOVAL: hope this helps someone

Thank you! I wish I'd of thought of making it before hand so I could be a little more in depth on how I did it but I figured anyone should be able to figure it out. Yeah I'm so glad I was already rebuilding the whole thing and had it out. I was flipping that thing back and forth trying to work...

TRAC BAR BALL JOINT REMOVAL: hope this helps someone

I put together a little video explaining how I removed my ball joint for the trac bar. Some people like me cut off the threads, use a press, try the air hammer but it doesnt work. I would up pushing the ball through the bottom and the outside was still stuck in the axle housing. Im not the only...

    Best gears for big non-vgt

Ill try this here... so I am in the process, slow process that is, of replacing everything on my suspension, steering, etc. Cleaning up and making new. I am trying, key word here, to build a pretty quick street truck. I think I will be starting off with a s472 and 330/150s to see how it goes...

    Street truck wanna-be

I ran across his videos on YouTube from like 8 years ago, seemed like a pretty mean truck. I called socal billet today to ask about their kit and it sounds like thats the place to go. The kit starts at 4800, add the turbos, hes using sxe, bullet wheel, 360 thrust bearing turbos, and thats i...

And here I was convinced from everyone that talks about towing and making power with a 6.0 that over 500hp and you cant tow crap. Stuff like this is what makes my wife question why I'm smiling at my phone haha. So who did your compound kit, or did you fab it up yourself? Ive welded might and...

    Street truck wanna-be

So I was piddling around like normal looking at options, opinions, etc. for my build, because if its not done theres still time to change things... and be cheaper than changing after lol. I ran across a towing thread because the side of my mind listening to reason is telling i still need to tow...

    Street truck wanna-be

I have no idea, but I love it. There's something about surprising people with a truck that makes me happy. My first one was a 2012 ram sclb that put down 720 on the dyno with 50psi, however it would peg 65psi on the street. I ran a single 75 on it so that was probably the dyno issue. But it...

    Street truck wanna-be

Okay yeah thats what I was doing and irs just shearing it off like I said. The only other thing I can think to help that is to take a Sawzall to it and cut a relief or a few all the way through the center. I just don't want to mess up the axle housing.

Do you do it on a certain side? I started this on the topside of it and it started pushing it in but then just started shearing it off without even starting to cave in.

Thats what I started doing, for some reason my pictures won't just show up. But its the second link. It just started peeling off the metal without crushing it at all.

got the axle pulled out, I soaked in purple power and power washed then toom it down to our garage where I started descaling the rust. Still had to get the track bar ball joint out and its seized worse than the pitman arm was on my 85 chevy when it had been on there for over 20 years. The actual...

I'm just doing the 4400# springs and I haven't seen anyone use a new caster shim, but I'm not just doing it for looks and I want to make sure its correct before I send it down the 1/4 mile. I just haven't seen a "negative degree" caster if thats what I would even need, just guessing since like I...

    Street truck wanna-be

Its been a while, I've been busy but got the front axle completely unattached except for driveshaft, would of gotten done sooner to if it wasnt for my lack of motive to go get the socket I needed to finish. I started thinking, raise the front end and its good to put in new caster shims to get...

    Street truck wanna-be

I was hoping so, I could see i wasn't really getting any response what so ever. I'm hoping it will be a pretty involved thread once it gets a little more exciting. It may take some time but I've already have more attention than I have there.
