I have their stroker pump. Time will tell. I may add that when I pulled my stock pump at 170k miles to do the swap, I pulled the buckets. Zero wear. To me the cp4 isn't the boogeyman it's made out to be. It's definitely dependent on owner habits.
Good way to tell the thread direction is the pitch of the blades. If they pitch inwards to the left (if looking at top blade) it loosens clockwise. They basically loosen the same direction they spin. Same goes for fan clutches. The 6.7 compressor wheel loosens clockwise.
You need to re-scale the volume control with tuning yes preferably. But it will work without it but it's pointless on a stock engine. The whole point of a stroker is it increases volume per stroke to keep up with high injector pw demands or aftermarket injectors. Rcd makes a non-stroker with the...
+1 On the cpx. I have the 10.3mm. No need for a disaster kit, and buckets are pinned preventing rotation. Another good one is coastal diesel and performance.
No, I've been a member for a while, don't remember exactly how long but I never commented. I'm pretty active on the ps.org though for the last 10 years or so.
The issues are due to the tcm constantly re-learning along with the crap tuning. Most of the good tuners I know in the HP realm remove adaptive settings completely, me included. Either find a better tuner or go down that rabbit hole of self tuning.
