    I have the bushwacker rust covers ..er I mean street flares on my truck. They stick out less than an inch from the wheel well and cover just the lip. My truck has 33's on it at the moment. Here are some pictures for reference. If you want any more info let me know.

    I plow snow and do a lot of driving on gravel roads so for me its a compromise between function and looks. Current tires are 285-75-16's. When these wear out I'm planning on going a little wider and a little taller. I completely agree wider rubber would help the overall stance.
