The flatter the spring, the better they will ride. V and B code springs are the preferred leaf spring setups for ride quality. If you are putting a 350 block in the back, and want the truck to be level, you will need a 2" lift in the front. Out of 3 different setups, the hanger lift with factory springs that I run now, ride sWAY better than any add a leaf, or mini spring pack that I had previously.
Here's a pic of a 3" front hanger lift, 350 block with a 3/4" spacer added in the back to get the rake I wanted (I prefer a little nose down empty, so it levels when I'm towing). V and B code springs front and rear with overload in the back as it came from the factory. 35" tires.
