Slowly gathering parts to convert the X over to the '05 to 07 frontend. I'm seeing lots of aftermarket Harley Headlights on Ebay...but not much OEM stuff. Has anybody purchased some aftermarket lights...and how are they working out? I'm worried about them fogging up within a year or so from not being completely sealed.

from past experience aftermarket anything ( sheetmetal, headlamps, turn signals, etc.) ARE cheaper for a reason and are usually junk. Just my 2-cents

I have a set of ebay harleys on my truck. Got them about 9 months ago and do not have any fogging issues. I siliconed the seams before they went in the truck though.

Buy OE. I had knock off HD lights in my Leaker and I regretted not buying the rear things after about 6 months of AZ sun.

if your worried about fogging up you can always add your own bead of RTV sealant or just bake them open and reseal them if they get water in them

I've got Ebay knock offs, had them on about 18 months, no problems with fogging up, the only thing I have noticed, they have a clear coating on them, that has started to peel, you don't see it from 6 feet away, you have to be up close, and looking for it, to notice it. It's not something I'm worried about, and if it becomes an issue, I can get 3 or 4 sets of these for the cost of new OEM ones.
