Hey guys,

Got a friend going through some financial woes and he is letting the bank take his 05 king ranch back because it blew head gaskets. I want to swap his king ranch seats for my cloth xlt seats. I'm assuming it's been done plenty but my searches have really turned anything up. Someone know of the thread detailing how to do this?

Pretty sure it's just unbolt and rebolt... I don't think anything has changed from 99-10 and I think 11 up will work too, just not consoles...without a little work

That's not right. If a bank has a lien on that truck then your friend has absolutely no right to remove fixtures from the truck and give them away.

It's theft. That makes your buddy a thief, and since you know the situation that makes you a thief too. I guess your ok with being a thief though so go ahead.

My cloth seats are going into his truck? So if we go by your reasoning if you have a lien on it you can't trade anything off your truck?

Not legally, no. Read an auto lien/contract. You are removing parts and replacing them with parts of lesser value so you have thereby intentionally reduced the salvage value of the collateral. They will likely never pursue legal action against your buddy, but it is still wrong.

Your friend will be the one that takes the hit. Bank will auction it off and make him pay the rest. Regardless of what the truck has or doesn't have, it undoubtedly will go for less than its worth.

But I think the bank will be more worried about the engine with blown head gaskets then the seats lol
