Finally got an 06 put back together and it runs great! Got the FICM repaired and it started right up. Initially the truck has been sitting for a few months because of a botched oil cooler repair. Got it together and now this. Boost gauge does not got past the first line after zero on the dash gauge. Its moves but barely. Even floored. Get it back to the shop and I noticed oil smoking off of the turbo. From what I can tell it's coming from the bottom. I did check the feed and it was dry all around. Is the drain prone to leaks and is ther supposed to be an oring on the drain? I don't remember there being one when I put it together but I could be wrong. I just remember setting the turbo on the drain and pressing on. Did I mess this up? Is there anywhere else it can leak from? Next thing, the coolant tank was filled up till the brim and the truck was started and ran. After the test run, the tank was still full and steam was coming from where the thermostat housing mates to the water pump. No water just steam. I think the thermostat may be stuck closed. There was no coolant in the upper radiator hose and no heat as well. Am I correct to think it's the thermostat or is there another issue that can cause this? Temperature gauge did move though. Both of these things were found after the test drive which was about 5 miles round trip. It felt good to fix something that has been sitting for so long and these issues are kind of a bummer. Hopefully there an easy fix. Thanks!!
