I'm building my truck over the winter and shooting for 550-600hp, I have a 2 piece rear driveshaft at the moment, my question is can I replace the stocker with a thicker wall one piece shaft or no? If not what wall thickness and serie ypkes would you all recommend?? It's going to be a weekend toy and sled puller. Thanks guys

An easy upgrade would be to use 99 up driveshaft. Bigger tube/ joints/ flange. If you use a 02 up the pinion has a flange as well instead of straps. The 10.5 yoke will fit your 10.25

Length is the limiting factor wig u-joint size. Your just going to have to talk to your builder and find what the limits are. I know on my cc long bed I couldn't run a one piece even with 1480 joints. IM sure they could have built me one for sled pulling only but I didn't want to do that.

I have a one piece rear shaft on my crew cab, short box. I switched from the 2 piece after I kept breaking my stocker sled pulling
