15 towing tune options

About to pick up a 15 350 this weekend and have heard from other 6.7 owners that they tow on race or street files. Coming from a 6.0 before this was a no-no if you wanted to keep heads on it.

Are most guys still towing on hotter tunes and getting away with it? Or towing anything significant at least.

Now I will be 22-25k #'s combined weight truck and trailer so planned on having a tow tune written to play it safe.

I only put mine in tow tune when I will be towing heavy, otherwise I just leave the performance tune on. Only reason I tune it down is because I have drained the fuel rails on my truck before on the hot tune when towing causing the truck to shut down, but you shouldn't have that problem as the 15's have a bigger pump. If you get something like the ******* with the shift on the fly SOTF you can just click it down real quick when needed to make it safer

These trucks make plenty of torque ! Tow tune is all you need . I tow about 15 k combined daily on 450 war hammer Sotf tune

Well that's nice to know everyone seems to have the same experience with it being fine. I can control EGT's with throttle and keeping it in the correct gear but was more worried about cylinder pressures which can't be monitored. But I had a 6.0 so everything I understood just went out the window.

Yes I have yet to hook a 6.7 to my trailer I know my last truck before stolen was making 450/800 to the ground on my tow tune and held overdrive up most grades unless I got under the turbo. It will be nice to sit at 1600 rpm with the turbo lit vs sitting at 2000-2200 with the 6.0

Call Mike. I bought my tuner from another vendor, customer service was worst I've seen in a while. Not going to bash them. Mike price matches, I've bought everything else from him. I don't pull heavy but I tow with the tow tune to use exhaust brake.
