+18 SFT on #2

Truck came in, #2 contribution. Injector did not buzz. Replaced injector. Now buzzed but ran worse. Installed another injector, ran the same. Did a compression check, 430 PSI. Found faulty rockers, pushrods, bridges and lifters. Installed all new, now #2 is back to +18 on the short fuel trim.

the only thing I can think of is the cylinder is washed down and or the rings. but when I had the heads off, it looked fine, crosshatches were great...

any suggestions?

DTC? Base fp? I have seen a lot of injector harness issues. If no dtcs after a complete drive cycle, relative compression checks out and base pressure is fine, put some pm-22 in it with a bottle of lubricity additive. Re run your koeo eec, clear dtcs regardless if there aren't any. Reset your tables and KAM. Then go beat the hell out of it. I have seen quite a bit of terminal fretting at the harness to injector connector if the disconnect tool wasn't used properly or just not used at all.

DTC for cylinder contribution only comes up after Koer. I guess I will try a harness next. Thanks

2 BAD brand NEW injectors....Tossed in another one, works fine....


**** these motors... not just cause that issue, just working on them in general...
