update I haven't died, nor did the project. Nope, instead I have done numerous things to speed along the conversion process, as well as numerous things that are delaying the conversion process (a dual edged sword if you will). Didn't help the conversion process #1 (but it did help clear my head)-->So, I bought a boat. first time boater. And living in Michigan, we get about 4 months maximum of decent boating weather. So I had some learning to do. And let me tell you what. Lesson #1--> sunscreen Didn't help the conversion process #2 (but it helped initiate my 10 year into who was Smokey and the Bandit)--> I also bought a 76 firebird formula. Sorted out all it needs just in time to not to be able to sell cause cruising season is over. Live and learn. Didn't help the conversion process #3 (but it may, as it is still a 7.3PS)--> The family of the kid I bought Lucipher off of (my 1996 CCLB) came to buy it back, so I bought a 2001 Excursion Limited 7.3 and tweaked that some to my liking Helped the conversion process #1, because this is a MOFO package deal!!! --> finished up the m101 (my tow behind support trailer). Added a roof top tent, matching military tires to Eleanor, and some weatherproof long gun storage. Helped the conversion process #2, because I will loose my MF'ing mind if I stare at wiring for too long (fyi, I still can't eat spaghetti without triggering some sort of PTSD)-->I did have the SORD cross-over steering kit put on. Mounted nicely, I have no idea of usability cause I still don't have her running yet. Helped the conversion process #3, because in case you don't know by now, I am not an electrician, let alone a mechanic-->Finally bought the electrical and vacuum shop manual. Found one that wasn't being asked for it's weight in gold, so that worked out pretty nice. Helped the conversion process #4, because I'm tired of tripping over miles of wire that resemble spaghetti (ahhhh!!!!)-->Cleared out all the remnants of this past summer's projects and small joys from my garage, so that I can start mapping and installing the semi-custom (custom, as in I touched it and modified it. lol) wiring harness. Warning and full disclosure: I am armed with a multi-meter, a book written by engineers, a dream, and plenty of beer. Pictures to come of all the aforementioned shenanigans and the weekly updates associated with fall/winter/not boating weather...
