I have a 2002 F-250 that I bought with no interior.. I put a dash, fuse box, gauge cluster and new factory harness from ford.. Turn the key on and the left turn signal light comes on and stays on that's it.. Am I missing some other electrical component like a Body Control Modules or something.. Any help is great I'm kinda dead in the water for now.. Thanks Guys !!

We need some more info. Purchased with no interior. Dash and wiring missing? Engine missing? Where did you get your parts?

Is it a auto or manual truck? 02s don't have a Gem they have a VSM.

Fuel pump relay is internal to the fuse box itself.

Simple place to start with your description is a ground problem.

But could be 100 other things until we know a little more info.

Put everything that goes in the engine compartment back in and got a E99 motor put a new compartment harness in off a 2002 put a 02 engine harness on the E99 motor got a factory matched dash harness, fuse box, and gauge cluster but ghats all I put in the interior where is the VSM located that's probly were my problem is.. If it was gone would the fuel pump still pump..

VSM bolts to the firewall behind the dash.

Where are you located?

Have you checked all fuses? Like stated, verify you hooked up all the grounds and plugged in all harnesses. Check on the engine too

If there was no VSM would the fuel pump still run or no... And would there be any lights on the dash ?

Probably not. Ship it over to WV Ill fix it for you. :ford:

I have did what you did many times, but it is hard for me to remember every little thing off the top of my head.

Im not doubting you, but what does the vsm have to do with the fuel pump? I would think a pcm issue would be why it wont start, unless o.p. left a ground or pigtail undone. I honestly have never messed with a vsm (all of our work trucks have manual locks and windows), which is why im asking. It basically takes the place of the gem module right?

VSM (Vehicle Security module) It has to talk to the instrument cluster for everything to work.

It did take the place of the GEM but when they switched to digital dash in 02 that's when the VSM was added.

The last time I was messing around with one I needed to move the truck out before I could finish the job. It or the cluster was unplugged and the truck wouldn't start.

I honestly don't think its his issue, but its something to look for. XL trucks got a HEC (hybrid electronic cluster) instead of the VSM.

Weird. I had an 02 with the digital cluster, and it was an xl truck. Idk, im glad ive never had to mess with any of this gem/vsm mess.
