2003-2007 Mirror Lense

My brother was driving my dads 04 King Ranch on Saturday and he swapped mirrors with someone. The only thing that broke is the amber lense. The lights still work and the painted part of the mirror is good. Is is possible to change just the lense? I know Recon sells clear and smoked lenses, but I can't find any amber ones. He went to Ford and they told him he needed the whole mirror cap. The cap is expensive enough, not to mention painting it to match.

Ford has to have this part....right? It comes out easy enough.

It's part of the cover assembly. Last I recall Ford doesn't sell just the light/lens.

That's what I gathered from the dealership. What does the recon part replace? I figured their lense would include lense and light. Does anyone have their stick amber ones laying around?

Might check with 1A auto to see if they can get them, I'd also check Craigslist & Ebay
