didnt see an interior section, it been awhile since iv been on here. but yes doing some modding to my truck and got a chance to buy a full 2008 king ranch dash (to match my king ranch seats) on top of getting a full instument cluster, steering wheel and all, can the dash be bolted up, and i understand the speedo from the 2 years had differnt setup (one form the tranny and one form the diffs i belive) but is the hook up in the cluster the same? will the aircondition vents work or is it just a super heavy moddification, again i have no problems doing any wiring mods and such just really owndering if the dash will bolt the the fire wall?

That's s is a good question. I know people tried to put the 05+ dash in the older trucks. It goes in but the cluster won't work. I would imagine the 08 style dash going into an older truck(not sure what you have) would present similar issues.

Dash should bolt in. But the 2004 PCM wont support the cluster
ok so i should be able to make my 2004 cluster go into the 08 dash correct i belive the glass and all is the same size. do we think th ac vents will line up. again iv never taken these out and i understand ill probbaly have to change the steering colum to match the 2008 steering wheel unless i can get the ujoint to work after uninstalling the 2004 (hopes on this) really wish i could use my 2004key but what ever its auto locks so i shoudl be ok anyways. unless theres a way to change the keys???

How hard would it be to hook up aftermarket "real gauges" in the place of the factory 08 gauges?
call autometer and they can make something. Not sure how much or how plug n play it will be but with enough perseverance a guy could ***k a snake.
You have a lot more to do than you think. On the 08 up the entire ac/ heater system is in the cab, not half and half like your 04. So on your cab the firewall on p side is set back a ways, the 08 up is forward a bunch. Also with the ac/ heater it is now all fully electric, unlike yours that has vacuum pods doing a big part of everything. The only reason a 08 up has a vacuum pump would be for the hub locks on a esof.
I have not tried but technically you should be able to make the cluster work. Your 6.0 has can bus network just like a 6.4.
All the wiring is opposite your truck. Instead of fuse box under steering column, it's in p side kick panel. Plus the 6.4 has less power and stuff to engine because of the lack of a ficm. Your ficm stuff comes from your cab fuse box.
I'm sure you can do it though, just might take some extra work to make it all right. The firewall thing would defiantly need to be addressed.

i havent gotten to dash i have the ability to get it. yes it a full dash with all electronics and wires. i wasnt going to tackle the job till i got to out of afganistan and moved to a new unit. but that means driving my ****ty gti around
