2008 factory remote start issue

Having a problem with my factory remote start. Hit the button everything seems to work with the exception of the pats light flashing. Beeps once after a few seconds and no start. If I put the key in and hit remote start the pats light stops flashing and I end up with 5 or so horn beeps. Still no remote start. Any ideas?

Did it work before? If so what did you change recently?

Worked great for years. Just tried it this year and no go. From what I can see from my searching it's looking like the securilock ring around the ignition switch. Little more troubleshooting to do. Thanks
