Hey guys, Im just wondering what are some peoples experiences in upgrading the factory stereo to a GPS unit. Ideally, Im looking for a complete list of parts I would need to make this conversion. Ive got a 2011 F350 Lariat with every option EXCEPT for the factory GPS. It has the factory sub, SYNC, and satellite radio, just doesnt have the GPS head unit.
I would like to add a good GPS head unit, whether factory or aftermarket, but want to retain all the existing factory components such as the factory sub, SYNC and satellite radio. It would also be great if everything was plug and play.
Im sure the factory unit would be ideal, however, they seem to be WAY more money than the aftermarket ones. If someone knows a cost effective way to get everything for the factory option, Id love to hear about it. Otherwise, if anyone has used a good aftermarket GPS unit thats retained everything, Id love to look at the parts list needed to make the conversion. Thanks in advance for the help!
